Error behavior

The error behavior applies when an error occurs while the flow runs: when code in the flow throws an error, a database query fails or speech recognition cannot be reached.

Error behavior Types Effect
Default call ends the call without an announcement
Queue all places the conversation in the queue of its skill
Transfer call puts the call through to the Recipient SIP-URI, a phone number or SIP address
Error announcement: Terminate call plays the error announcement and ends the call
Error announcement: Callback call plays the error announcement and creates a callback that is due immediately
Error announcement: Voicemail call plays the error announcement and records a voicemail. Under External recipient (optional), enter email addresses to which it is also sent.
Automatic answer email, fax, chat sends the selected Boilerplate as a reply and ends the conversation
Forward to: email, fax forwards the message to the Recipient
  • For email, fax and chat flows, Default is not available. Choose an error behavior explicitly there.
  • The error announcements are media cases with the matching Utilization, see Error announcements. If the media case is missing, or the recipient for Transfer, the flow cannot be saved.
