Where programs and services store their local settings, how they handle the file and which settings exist only there, without a user interface.
Every program and every service stores its local settings in a file named
appsettings.json: database connection, service account, registration points,
window position and the like. You set most values in the configurators and
programs; a few exist only in the file. Settings that apply to the whole
system, on the other hand, are stored in the database and set in the
Administration.
Where the file is located
Program
File
Server, Routing Service, Dispatcher, Logger
in the program folder of the service; the configurator creates it
Agent, Administration
in the profile of the Windows user under %AppData%\ilogixx GmbH\myContactCenter\Agent or …\Admin
Wallboard
in the profile of the Windows user under %AppData%\ilogixx GmbH\myContactCenter\Wallboard if there is one there, otherwise in the program folder
An appsettings.json in the program folder of the Agent or the Administration
serves as a template for all users of the computer: at startup, the program
takes from it any values a user does not have yet — except login data and
audio devices. It presets the registration points and the addresses
PublicAddress and BindAddress at every start as long as they are empty for
the user — see
Defaults for all users.
How the programs handle the file
If the file is missing, the program creates it with default values.
If it is damaged, the program continues with the default values — the
server, for example, without a database connection.
Whatever you set in a program, the program writes to the file itself,
within two minutes at most.
Passwords are stored in it in encrypted form.
Each configurator saves a copy of the file under
%ProgramData%\ilogixx GmbH\myContactCenter\Backup when it starts.
Settings without a user interface
These entries exist only in the file. The names follow the structure of the
file; a period separates the section and the entry.
Server
Entry
Default
Effect
PbxAddressBookIntervalInMinutes
60
how often the server queries the address book of the phone system, in minutes; 0 stands for 15
ServerConfiguration.SendPort6007Errors
true
false turns off the message Connection to port 6007 failed, see Messages and errors
Routing Service
Entry
Default
Effect
PublicAddress
empty
the address that the Routing Service gives the phone system for SIP and voice. Required if it is behind network address translation (NAT).
BindAddress
empty
the address of the network adapter that it uses for SIP and voice if the computer has several. If empty, it uses the one through which it reaches the phone system.
EmailCheckIntervalInMinutes
15
how often the active Routing Service checks the mail server for sending and the mailboxes for Status of services, in minutes; the first check follows one minute after startup
MaxCalls
1024
how many call legs the Routing Service can handle at the same time; a connected call uses at least two, one to the customer and one to the agent. At most 2048; 0 stands for 2048. The Routing Service applies the value when it starts.
Agent
Entry
Default
Effect
PublicAddress, BindAddress
empty
as for the Routing Service, for the Agent’s softphone
DisableTerminalServerDetection
false
true: the Agent does not check whether a microphone and speakers are connected — for example on a terminal server without audio devices
