Each package is a Windows Installer file (MSI). It installs for all users of the computer and requires administrator rights to do so.
Installing
- Start the package with a double-click and confirm the prompt for administrator rights.
- Follow the wizard: license agreement, destination folder, installation.
The default destination folder is
C:\Program Files\ilogixx GmbH\myContactCenter\<Package>. - For Server, Routing Service, Dispatcher, Logger and Wallboard, the configurator starts by itself at the end — see The configurators.
If a newer version of the same package is already installed on the computer, the package stops with a message saying so. It replaces an older version — see Updating. If the .NET runtime is missing, the package also stops — see Requirements.

In the Start menu, the Agent and the Administration are under ilogixx GmbH › myContactCenter; the configurators and the Wallboard entry are one level lower, under Configurators.
In addition,
- the packages create their folders under
%ProgramData%\ilogixx GmbH\myContactCenter, the Administration there also the templates for reports, dashboards, wallboards and scripts, the holiday files and the dictionaries — see Folders, files and logs, - they add rules for their ports to Windows Firewall — see Firewall,
- the Agent package registers the Agent as the program for
tel:,callto:andmailto:links — see Setting up workstations.
The settings file appsettings.json is not part of the package. It is only
created by the configurator or the program and is kept during an update — see
Settings files.
Services after installation
The package creates the services and sets them to start automatically, but does not start them; at first, they run under the local system account. Only the configurator enters the service account, enables the restart after a crash and starts the service — see The configurators.
Installing without prompts
Like any MSI, a package can also be installed without a user interface, for example to distribute the Agent to many workstations:
msiexec /i "<Package>.msi" /qn
- Agent and Administration are suitable for this. You specify registration points and other defaults for all users with a settings file in the program folder — see Defaults for all users.
- Services need their configurator. Without a user interface, it does not start by itself; run it from the Start menu afterwards. Until then, the service does not run, and the Server Configurator has neither created nor updated the database.
- The Wallboard does not know any registration points without its configurator. In that case, enter them in its settings file — see Wallboard.
There is no way to set up the services without a user interface.
Removing
Remove a package in the Windows settings under Apps or Programs and Features. It stops and removes its services, as well as its shortcuts and firewall rules.
What remains:
- the settings files
appsettings.jsonin the program folder and in the user profiles, - the data under
%ProgramData%\ilogixx GmbH\myContactCenterwith logs, backups, recordings and templates, - the databases with their SQL logins.
A new installation can build on this.
