Holiday calendars specify on which days a skill is closed. They are under Global elements › Holidays and apply to every skill you assign them to on the Holidays tab — see Holidays. For this you need the Holiday configuration permission.
For each calendar, the list shows Name, Holiday — whether today is a holiday —, Current Holiday and Holiday count.
Creating a calendar
- Right-click in the list and choose Add.
- Enter a Name, for example “Bavaria”.
- Enter the holidays — manually in the calendar or with one of the two buttons, see below.
- Click Save.
To add a holiday manually, right-click in the calendar and choose New entry. An entry can be all-day or last only a few hours, for example the afternoon of Christmas Eve.
Importing public holidays
Fetch holidays opens the Import and Manage Holidays dialog:
- Choose the Country and the Federal state — or Applies to all federal states.
- Click Load holidays. The Administration fetches the public holidays of this year and the two following years from the internet, from the openholidaysapi.org service.
- In the list, select the holidays that should apply.
- Click Save.
Each imported holiday becomes an all-day entry “Holiday: ‹Name›”. Entries you created manually are kept. The calendar remembers the country, federal state and selection: from then on, the server continues the selected holidays by itself, always for the next two years, and removes entries that are older than three years. For this, the server needs access to the internet.
Importing from Outlook
Import holidays from MS Outlook reads a Microsoft Outlook holiday file
(*.hol). Then choose the countries whose holidays you want to import. The
Administration creates an all-day entry for each day that does not have an
entry yet and reports how many there were.
Deleting a calendar
If you delete a calendar, the server also removes it from all skills it was assigned to.
