Browser

How you open web pages such as your CRM in the Browser module, which pages it loads by itself and how you make a call from a page.

The Browser module is a web browser inside the Agent. There you open web applications that you need alongside your conversations — for example your CRM, a knowledge base or a ticket system. You see the module if your profile allows Web browsing.

Opening pages

Each page has its own tab with an address bar. The Navigation tab in the ribbon contains:

Button Effect
Back, Forward Moves through the pages you visited last.
Home Opens the first homepage from your profile.
Refresh Reloads the page.
New Opens a new tab.

To open a link in a tab of its own, right-click it and choose Open in new tab. You close a tab with its close icon or by clicking it with the mouse wheel.

Pages that open by themselves

  • Homepages: Your administrator sets homepages in your profile. When you log in, the browser opens them together with the pages that were open last time.
  • Attached data: Double-clicking an address in the Attached data module opens it here, for example the customer record for the current conversation.
  • Agent script: Your contact center’s script can open pages, for example the customer screen as soon as a call rings — see Automated processes.

Calling from the browser

Clicking a link with “tel:” or “callto:” puts the number into the dial pad — see Making calls.
