myContactCenterManual

Folders, files and logs

Where myContactCenter stores programs, data, backups, recordings, templates and logs, which file types it uses and what it writes to the Windows Event Viewer.

Programs

All installation packages install their programs under C:\Program Files\ilogixx GmbH\myContactCenter, each program in its own folder. You can change the folder during installation.

Folder Contents
Server the server and its configurator; in a subfolder the SwyxCDS service (SwyxCDSServer)
RoutingService the Routing Service and its configurator
ExternalDatabase the service for external databases, installed with the Routing Service
Dispatcher, Logger, Wallboard the Dispatcher, Logger and Wallboard, each with its configurator
Agent, Admin the Agent and the Administration

System data

%ProgramData%\ilogixx GmbH\myContactCenter — on most computers C:\ProgramData\ilogixx GmbH\myContactCenter — holds the data that services and programs write for all users. Which folders exist on a computer depends on what is installed there.

Folder or file Contents
Server\Backup backups of the configuration database, see Backing up and maintaining the database
Recording recordings (REC-<ID>.wav) and voicemails (VM-<ID>.wav) while they are being recorded. If no Path for storing recordings is entered, they stay here — on the computer of the Routing Service.
MediaPool the audio files of the announcements and music that the Routing Service plays
Dictionaries dictionaries for the spell check
Report Templates, Dashboard Templates, Wallboard Templates, Script Templates, Holiday definitions templates for reports, dashboards, wallboards and scripts, and holiday files, installed with the Administration
Feedback attachments to feedback until it has been sent
Backup copies of the settings files; each configurator creates one when it starts
ExceptionLogs\<Program> reports on unexpected program errors, one file per error
<Program>_<User>_LocalBackup.log log messages for as long as a program cannot reach a Logger

Per-user data

Location Contents
%AppData%\ilogixx GmbH\myContactCenter\Agent, …\Admin, …\Wallboard the settings files of the Agent, the Administration and the Wallboard, see Settings files
%AppData%\ilogixx GmbH\myContactCenter\WebBrowserCache cache of the Browser module in the Agent
Documents\ilogixx GmbH\myContactCenter\Dictionaries your own words for the spell check
Documents\ilogixx GmbH\myContactCenter\Report Templates the folder that the Agent and the Administration offer first when you import or export report templates

The server stores the arrangement of the dock panels and tables in the Agent for each agent; it therefore follows the agent to every workstation.

Logs

All programs and services send their log messages to the Logger. It writes them to the shared file myContactCenter.log in the Directory for the log files, which you set in the Logger configurator. You set how detailed the logging is in the server configuration, see Tracing settings.

  • When the file grows larger than about 21 MB, the Logger moves it to the subfolder LOGS — with the date and time in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) in its name — and compresses it there as .gz.
  • Maximum size of the directory (in MB) in the Logger configurator limits the LOGS folder, default 2000. When the folder is full, the Logger deletes the oldest files.
  • The Logger stores extracts for feedback in the subfolder LogOutput.
  • If a program cannot reach a Logger, it writes to a file of its own, <Program>_<User>_LocalBackup.log, under %ProgramData%.

Windows Event Viewer

The server, Dispatcher, Logger and Routing Service write important events to the myContactCenter log in the Windows Event Viewer on their computer. The sources are named CCServer, CCDispatcher, CCLogger, CCRoutingService and — for alarms — CCALARM; the configurators create them.

Event ID Entry Level Meaning
1 Starting Information The server or Dispatcher is starting.
2 StartSuccess Information The server or Dispatcher has started.
3 ServerOnline Information The server is active or, for the Dispatcher, reachable.
4 Stopping Information The service is stopping.
5 StopSuccess Information The Dispatcher has stopped.
504 ServerOffline Warning The server cannot be reached.
505 ServerPassive Warning The server is passive (standby).
507 SQLServerPerformanceLow Warning SQL Server cannot keep up with writing the statistics, see Messages and errors.
1000 StartFailure Error The server could not start.
1001 RegularExpressionFailure Error A regular expression is invalid, for example in the excluded contacts.
20000 <Alarm>[<Severity>] RAISED as set for the severity An alarm has been raised, see Alarms.
